Euphoria at Designworks

Euphoria at Designworks

Customers often tell us that we carry so many unique products at Nature Works, well, the same goes for our Interior Design Center, Designworks | Door County, located right next door in the granary building. The designers are constantly bringing in the latest products in interior design, especially in the tile world.    Designworks has all sorts of different tiles, from hand-painted tiles, glass tiles, round tiles, textured tiles, and even tile designed to look like wood planks, but this week a whole new style has arrived, the tile is called Euphoria.        These tiles are created using a traditional Japanese style of pottery called Raku, and no two pieces will ever be the same. Once installed the beauty of this handcrafted tile is enhanced by such variation, and will surely bring a sense of euphoria to any space.    ...
Design Trends of 2015

Design Trends of 2015

We had a great time hosting Design Camp at Designworks, the food was fabulous and so were our guests! Polly and Stephanie introduced the latest interior design trends and our Lee Industries rep, Laura, talked about the latest trends in furniture.  Below are some of the trends we discussed. Chalkboards! We have never seen so many things made out of chalkboards, everything from place mats, to wrapping paper. I think it’s safe to say this is one of the biggest trends this year. The use of multiple colors in the same hue, for example, royal and aqua. Pastel colors, especially pink, paired with a neutral color. Speaking of neutrals, grays are definitely the hottest neutrals. The mixing of metals – using gold and silver together. Inspirational signs Using a strong pop of color in a neutral room, such as yellow bar stools in an all white kitchen. Wallpaper is back! And in a big way. Wallpaper can transform a room with its style-defining powers and can be used in a range of ways. It adds texture to any room, creates a focal point, makes a statement, and can make a small room feel bigger and big room feel cozier. Gold, and  a lot of it! We have noticed a lot of gold accessories. Hopefully this will help you get some ideas flowing for your next project. Give us a call and we can help you with any of your interior design needs....

Fall Color Trends 2014

Fall Color Trends 2014

Fall Color Trends 2014 Designer Stephanie Bunda Shares Fall Color Trends of 2014 Blues are very strong this season, with an emphasis on deep, rich Mediterranean Blue with grey still being the hottest neutral. A few of my personal favorites are Sherwin Williams Santorini Blue, Flyway, and Hyper Blue. My favorite greys are Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter and Sherwin Williams Repose Grey. To contrast, Olive’s, Oranges, and Plums are popular as they add a dash of warmth and give a bit of a 1960’s feel and combining blues with Sour Apple Green creates a fresh, bold and crisp look when layered with Whites and Yellows.  When I design, I like to use lots of layers — pillows, throws and rugs and another big trend for the coming season is mixing metals and textures with woods. Need some help with this year’s color palette or a few more decorating ideas?  We’d love to help!  Stop in, give a call (920) 868-2651  or email us shop@dcnw.biz!   Flyway – Sherwin Williams Hyper Blue Sherwin Williams Santorini Blue Sherwin Williams Mink – Benjamin Moore Requisite Grey – Benjamin...
