Lloyd Flanders: A Rich History in Quality Furniture

Lloyd Flanders: A Rich History in Quality Furniture

In 1906, Marshal B. Lloyd opened the Lloyd Manufacturing Company in Menominee, Michigan, where he developed a timeless and unique process of creating fine woven furniture.    Lloyd Loom In 1917 Marshal Lloyd created a process by which cellulose strands are woven into a wicker fabric, an alternative to the then popular method of wrapping cane around a frame. Each hand crafted piece of Lloyd Loom furniture that is created today uses the same technique to create the loom fabric, though new advanced techniques have been added to the process to produce a continuous strand that will not bur, crack, or peel, resulting in a consistently smooth weave. Lloyd Loom furniture is still made in the same factory where this process was developed, almost a century ago.        Woven Vinyl Lloyd Flanders vinyl furniture is made with 100% virgin vinyl and has no extra filler. This ensures that the vinyl will remain soft and pliable through many years of use and will continue to hold its shape. UV inhibitors are added to protect from sun damage and fading.  Lloyd Flanders creates timeless and quality furniture that will last you a lifetime. 11 Reasons to Choose Seaside Casual Outdoor Furniture

11 Reasons to Choose Seaside Casual Outdoor Furniture

Seaside Casual is one of our favorite outdoor furniture lines. Aside from being on sale, below are 11 reason why we love Seaside Casual. 1. Made in the USA 2. Maintenance Free – Keep your Seaside Casual out all year long, simply hose the furniture down each spring and your furniture will look just like it did when you bought it.  3. Envirowood – a 100% High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) lumber made from recycled plastic water bottles and containers. Envirowood is permeated with UV stabilized  pigments that are consistent throughout the entire piece. The result is a smoother, more durable finish that prevents chalking and resists fading of the surface.  4. Indoor Comfort – Our wood is milled and routered to simulate the look and feel often found in traditional wood furniture. Joints are secured with mortise and tenon joinery and edges and corners are milled on precise CNC machinery. 5. Stainless Fasteners – All stainless steel fasteners are not created equal. Seaside Casual uses marine grade stainless steel (316) to ensure superior protection when exposed to elements. 6. Solid as a Rock – Unlike sheet molded products, Seaside Casual frames are constructed with HDPE lumber components that are designed to withstand temperature and load changes. Structural aluminum is used to reinforce critical frame members in key locations. The result is a product that will not tip, topple, or turn over on your patio, lawn or deck. 7. Slats and Spaces – Appropriately  spaced slats are the difference between support and the feeling of “falling through” the seat or back of your chair. Seaside Casual has this perfected so you feel comfortable and secure. 8. It Only Has a Good...
