Get Your Porch Ready for Spring

Get Your Porch Ready for Spring

Spring is finally here — is your porch ready for outdoor living? One of the best things about spring and summer is the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy the weather.  Here are five ways to make your outdoor living space a more inviting place to do just that.  1. Furniture.  If you don’t already have outdoor furniture now is the time to buy so you can be sure you will have your pieces by the time the weather warms up.  We work with excellent companies that only focus on outdoor living which means their products are the best-of-the-best. Lighting. Though it often can be overlooked, lighting is a key element of a porch, particularly if you like to sit and read in the evening.  Lighting helps create a warm ambiance in any space and there are several ways to add light to your outdoor space.    Get creative with your lighting, if you already have a chandelier or sconces add some candles (we even have flame-less candles) or lanterns to give your outdoor space a room-like feel.  3. An Outdoor Rug.  Make your porch feel like a room with an outdoor rug. A patterned rug layered on the floor helps unify the furnishings and color scheme, while adding a layer of texture and warmth to the space.  We have a great selection of outdoor rugs that will hold up to the outdoor elements without a problem – fade resistant, easy to clean, and great styles and colors. A rug is something nice to purchase new,...

New & Exclusive

New & Exclusive

We couldn’t wait to share Seaside Casual’s latest announcement about their new and exclusive color for 2018: Sage. Sage is a sophisticated neutral with hints of blue and green and can compliment or define a myriad of outdoor living spaces. Like a neutral color, sage adapts well to its environment allowing subtle hues to appear across a warm or cool color spectrum.  Sage works well with many different color combinations, it can be a bright contrast or just a subtle hint of color.  As light recedes, Sage deepens and becomes richer, adding a soft pop of color throughout the evening.  Sage will be available in 2018 for the majority of Seaside Casual’s many collections. We think Sage is going to fit right in with the “Door County Look”. ...
Lloyd Flanders: A Rich History in Quality Furniture

Lloyd Flanders: A Rich History in Quality Furniture

In 1906, Marshal B. Lloyd opened the Lloyd Manufacturing Company in Menominee, Michigan, where he developed a timeless and unique process of creating fine woven furniture.    Lloyd Loom In 1917 Marshal Lloyd created a process by which cellulose strands are woven into a wicker fabric, an alternative to the then popular method of wrapping cane around a frame. Each hand crafted piece of Lloyd Loom furniture that is created today uses the same technique to create the loom fabric, though new advanced techniques have been added to the process to produce a continuous strand that will not bur, crack, or peel, resulting in a consistently smooth weave. Lloyd Loom furniture is still made in the same factory where this process was developed, almost a century ago.        Woven Vinyl Lloyd Flanders vinyl furniture is made with 100% virgin vinyl and has no extra filler. This ensures that the vinyl will remain soft and pliable through many years of use and will continue to hold its shape. UV inhibitors are added to protect from sun damage and fading.  Lloyd Flanders creates timeless and quality furniture that will last you a lifetime.
