Faribault Woolen Mill

On the banks of the Cannon River in Faribault, MN, the Faribault Woolen Mill is a living testament to American craftsmanship. Founded in 1865 , the year Lincoln died and the Civil War ended, Faribault woolens are renowned for their comfort and quality. From providing woolen blankets for pioneers heading west to comforting our troops through two world wars, our woolens are woven into American history. Today, the nearly 150-year-old story is still being woven. The Faribault Woolen Mill endures as one of the last vertical woolen mills in America. Here, fifth generation craftspeople take raw wool and create blankets, throws, scarves and accessories of remarkable comfort and quality. Irreplaceable century-old machinery stands side by side with modern technology in our “new” mill, which was built in 1892.  Stop in our store and feel the warmth and craftsmanship these of these...

Every month we will share our favorite products with you. These are products that we personally own and Love!  Marcy’s Fav: Spartina 449 “My favorite product is any thing from Spartina 449. What I like best is the durability. Over the years I have purchased several pieces including purses, wallets, and tote bags. The tote bag goes with me to work everyday. It’s tossed in my car, on the floor, on the ground and back home. I fill it with paperwork, iPad, lunch, extra shoes, snacks and a spare sweater. Sometimes I think it weighs more than I do, but it still looks like new because the lined is treated with a water and stain resistant coating. The straps are made out of real leather and the bigger bags come with these little mermaid feet on the bottom so it actually never touches the ground. My teenage daughters even like the wallets and wristlets. And Spartina even has the cutest jewelry. (Don’t even get me started on that.)” Liz’s Fav: Indoor/Outdoor Rugs from Dash & Albert “I LOVE my rug! I can’t believe how easy it is to wash. We have had food dropped on it, red wine spilled, muddy paw prints tracked on it and after all this there is not a single stain on it! It is so easy to clean and worth every penny. I recommend these rugs to everybody. We plan on buying another one to put by our patio door.” Rugs come in many patterns and various sizes Prices range from $46.00 – $1324.00 Visit us to see the full line of Dash...
